Servicing Options
Most repairs to the general running of the bike are catered for at Y Beic, from parts replacement, accessory fitting, service packages to full bike builds. We have a range of servicing options from very basic safety checks to the gold standard full service. We’ve included some more detail below:
Safety / Roadworthy Check
the good old fashioned “M Check”
This is an inspection that will diagnose your bicycle's condition. This will ensure that you will not face any problem with your bike and inform you of any needed repairs.
The price of the safety check will be discounted from any service or repair over £20

The “CLASSIC”
A Basic Service which is the standard package that we offer
This is often most suitable to new bikes that have worn in over the first few rides, bikes that have laid dormant at the back of the shed but were working beforehand with no obvious problems or just as a thorough check.
Frame and fork inspection including headset and bottom bracket (not stripped)
Frame bolts are bearings checked & torqued
Wheels & tyres inspected
Brake system checked & adjusted
Gearing system checked & adjusted
£35 (45 minutes and up)
The “MONUMENT”
An Intermediate Service which includes everything in the “CLASSIC” plus more
This includes more inspections, tweaks, and adjustments. This service is suited for bikes that have laid dormant at the back of the shed but were working beforehand with no obvious problems, bikes that are used occasionally, or just as a thorough check.
Frame & fork inspected and bottom bracket maintained if required
Frame Bolts & bearings checked & torqued
Headset bearings inspected cleaned & greased
Wheels checked & trued, hubs checked & greased, & tyres inspected
Brake system check & inner cables replace & adjusted
Gearing system checked adjusted & inner cables replaced
£60 (1 hour 30 mins and up)
The “GRAND TOUR”
This is Full Service and our most advanced package
This service is suited for high mileage commuting bikes, road bikes and off-road bikes. Think about the Summer bike being completed whilst the Winter one is in use, and vice-versa; failing to plan is planning to fail!
Frame & fork inspected
Frame bolts & bearings checked & torqued
Headset & bottom bracket bearings inspected and greased
Hubs & drivetrain removed cleaned & inspected
Wheels checked trued & tyres inspected
Brakes system check, inner & outer cables replaced and brake mounts and rotors checked & trued
Gearing system check, adjusted with inner & outer cables replaced
£90 (2 hours 30 mins and up)
The above is just some of what Y Beic can offer. We also offer specific service requirements such as headset, bottom bracket, wheel hub / freehub, chain replacement and gear alignment.
Replacement part(s) costs for such service packages are additional.

Any parts required will be at an additional cost either from stock, ordered in specially or customer sourced.
Timescale is a rough indication dependant upon the condition of the bicycle and some parts being inspected; you will be updated on progress.
Particularly dirty / greasy bikes will incur an additional cleaning cost of £5.
With regard to Mountain Bike front / rear suspension servicing, please speak to us regarding cost which will be an addition to the servicing package. This will be dependant upon the brand catered for and the tooling requirements. If I cannot do it I will advise you on the best course of action, these components can be expensive and will not be serviced without the correct tools.
